Vest designers have two basic choices in ballistics materials: there are supple, breathable, woven materials and then there are unidirectional laminates. The UD laminates are made with layers of ballistic fiber sealed in a resin between two layers of plastic film. At Second Chance®, we use only all-woven aramid fabrics to keep our vests pliable, soft, cool, flexible and supremely breathable. Comfort is the real name of the game!
